The Brockton Rox, like the city it represents, are independent,
creative, and thriving. The Rox came into existence in 2002 thanks
to the vision of Mayor John T. Yunits and the hard work of many others
in the community and since that time have become proud citizens of
Brockton. We play at Campanelli Stadium named after Brockton-native,
Alfred Campanelli who donated $2 million to the City of Brockton
to assist with its financing so that you can experience a family-friendly
environment and enjoy professional quality baseball at an affordable
price.
The Rox are owned by Van Schley. The Goldklang Group which is composed
of Marv Goldklang, marketing and promotional guru Mike Veeck, and
actor Bill Murray serve as consultants. In addition to consulting
for the Rox, the Goldklang Group own and operate the Charleston (SC)
RiverDogs, the Fort Myers (FL) Miracle, the Hudson Valley (NY) Renegades,
the St. Paul (MN) Saints, and the Sioux Falls (SD) Canaries.
We were proud of our team when we won the championship in 2003 and
we are proud of another local team that won a championship in 2004.
The Bobble Ankle doll symbolizes the extraordinary toughness and
perseverance that produced that championship. But most of all, the
doll represents the fun of baseball and as we like to say, “Fun
is Good!”
Enjoy,
Jim Lucas,
President, Brockton Rox
